As President & CEO of The DPI Group, Travis Pearson leads a mission-driven organization celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2026. During his tenure, DPI has significantly expanded its geographic footprint and lines of business, while evolving its mission from employing people with disabilities to employing individuals facing a wide range of barriers to employment. Today, the organization includes both nonprofit and for-profit subsidiaries that employed more than 2,100 people in 2025.
Travis’ career with DPI began in 2004 as an Employment Specialist, and over the past two decades he has held leadership roles across nearly every part of the organization. Along the way, he helped transform DPI’s security business from a public-sector provider into a diversified operation serving private-sector clients in three states. He also led the expansion of DPI’s staffing services across Oregon and into Washington, Arizona, Maryland, Delaware, and Arkansas. In the AbilityOne program, he grew a single combat knife assembly contract into a diversified tactical tools division with multiple sales channels, all supporting the employment of veterans with disabilities. He has also led the creation of two new subsidiaries: a public-sector janitorial business and a nonprofit dedicated to uniting Portland-area social service organizations.
Beyond his work at DPI, Travis is deeply engaged in the nonprofit community. He serves on the Board of the Oregon Resource Association, the statewide network supporting individuals with disabilities in leading full and inclusive lives, and is Board Treasurer for Oregon APSE, which advances employment equity for people with disabilities. He has presented at national conferences for SourceAmerica and the Alternative Staffing Alliance, and in 2016 was named one of the Portland Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 in recognition of his professional accomplishments and community service.
A veteran of both the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard, Travis brings a background in intelligence and security, including service as a security and intelligence analyst for several federal agencies. He is a graduate of American Military University and holds an MBA in Finance from Washington State University.
