Dennis Doherty is a longtime supporter of The DPI Group, and rejoined its Board in 2017.
Dennis was born and raised in Portland and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War. He spent much of his career at Beecher Carlson, an insurance and risk management brokerage, rising to Managing Director of the Nonprofit Division. He’s served on the National Advisory Councils of a number of insurance companies, and earned awards such as Beecher Carlson’s national “Revolutionary Performance Award” and Risk & Insurance Magazine’s “National Power Broker Award.”
Dennis has spent 20 years as a member of the Board of De Paul Treatment Centers, and served as its Chair. He’s also served on the Board of the Portland Opera and the Arlington Club.
