DePaul Industries’ Board of Directors has named Travis Pearson as the social enterprise’s new President & CEO.
“Over the past five years, DePaul Industries has grown significantly and engaged in new entrepreneurial ventures, all to support our mission of employing people with disabilities,” Pearson said. “I look forward to continuing this growth as CEO.”
Pearson joined DePaul Industries in 2004 as an Employment Specialist, and has served in various capacities throughout the organization. The COO since 2011, Pearson has focused on running DePaul’s three main business lines: staffing, security and food and consumer goods packaging.
Pearson is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard. In addition, he has worked in intelligence and security for various federal agencies. He holds a BA from the American Military University and an MBA from Washington State University.
The Leadership Transition
Pearson succeeds Dave Shaffer, who served as DePaul Industries’ President & CEO for the past eight years and resigned to pursue other opportunities.
“We’ll miss Dave and highly value his past leadership achievements, but we’re very pleased with the selection of Travis as his successor,” DePaul Industries Board Chair Kelly Rupp said. “As COO, Travis has proven himself a champion of both DePaul’s mission and entrepreneurial spirit. The Board enthusiastically welcomes Travis to the CEO helm and looks forward to continued business growth and mission impact.”
